For groups of enemies, the best way to use this attack is to move the joystick while it's centered in the palm of your hand. there just isn't enough game here, I'm giving it 3/10.When confronted with one or several enemies, using the spin on your Stun Club will help clear the air. It might be fun for the youngest of younger gamers who are still getting used to playing games, but I'm giving it 4/10 Rubber chickens. But, as cute as the monkeys are, I think this game is too simple to keep anyone entertained for long. I found swiping gently sideways was key to victory, as opposed to smashing down on monkey's. It's a bit hard to control your zoom using the move, but it was different to scoping monkeys so the change was nice. There are some minigames, the best of which is a sniping stadium where you're given three targets and have to remember which ones to take down. But you'll probably be done with this game in 2 hours, especially because it's a "single player party game" and the move is very responsive to your attacks. If you don't have a vacuum on the ready though, you'll need to use a shoot and scoop strategy to capture the many spectre clones at the end of each stage, until you can find the real one. In fact, it's so easy you could almost call it an 'exploit'. I found saving the vacuum until the boss fight at the end, made it the fight substantially easier Bajo. There's also batteries lying about the place which charge up your two special weapons - an electrified banana, and my favourite - the vacuum. if they steal too many from you, you'll need to switch gadgets to a slingshot, and try to reclaim them, or pick up new ones. Those monkeys really wanted my Bananas Bajo.īack it up a second DARREN - Did you just say you found a game hard? I'm going to put that on the internet RIGHT NOW!Įrr ahh NO Bajo I was simply putting myself, in your shoes. It can be hard to work out when a monkey is coming for you off screen, and taking the finger off the trigger is risky at any time. It means you have to take your finger off the move, and press x or circle to look left or right. I found the parts where you could move, actually made the game harder Bajo. It moves you very slowly though quite short levels, and it's only when it stops, that you're giving some movement control. Which means - whilst you can see the landscape around you but you cannot go into it. They don't make a lot of sense, but the style is pleasing to me. Spectre is the only lead to the location of Grandma.Ĭutscenes are animated using traditional Japanese animation. This ape escape is a very simple game, you'll be running about a small selection of levels chasing after Spectre, a white monkey who continues to elude you and your friends. You also need to enjoy capturing Monkeys again. You ALSO need to have a PlayStation eye, for the move controller work. You need to have a PlayStation move controller, or it simply won't load the game. But it's important to note that Ape Escape PS3 cannot be played with a normal controller. So much so, there have been sequels and spinoffs ever since, and the latest is simply called "Ape Escape" for PS3.Įxcuse me Bajo. The first ape escape game came out over 10 years ago and it was pretty good.
