![]() ![]() ![]() The AE reduction coupled with Humanist and Diplo ideas meant that I never faced a single coalition during the entire campaign.Introduction and Analytical Framework for the edited volume "The European Union as a Diplomatic Actor" (co-edited with Gjovalin Macaj). I picked espionage on my first WC run as Oirat into Mongol Empire too, because of their policy with horde ideas, I was running armies of cavalry and artillery only. I've had plenty of good results with them, but I also never play MP so I don't need to optimise that much usually. I know it's probably not the optimal play, but I enjoy picking espionage particularly on non-monarchies and I also tend to pick their unique military idea groups pretty much always to change things up. Also I actually went humanist in the Würzburg game so I missed on the last siege ability policy of Religious + Quality, which would give me further +10% siege ability. Definitely gonna try it again, maybe as someone that gets siege ability in their ideas too like Utrecht for maximum stacking. Leaving sieging some forts as low as 4-6 days. Then later on I went for the military hegemon for another +20% siege ability. Innovative + Offensive policy: 10% & +1 siege pip Combined with a timely event (the one that gives you a choice between siege ability and fort defense) that let me get another +10% siege ability I entered the league war with over 80% siege ability, meaning that I sieged pretty much anything, except the swiss mountain forts in under a month. Instead of deving I used extra mil to spam generals with divine ideas cost reduction and maxed out on professionalism by the time league war rolled around. By the way did you know that forming Rome as a monastic order gets you the unique title of Imperial Commander for your leader? I picked Divine -> Innovative -> Espionage -> Offensive as my starting ideas. Result: Paradox is Swedish" Websites and WikisĮven before they added the siege ability to espionage ideas I had a really fun game as Würzburg -> Franconia -> Germany -> Roman Empire.
